103 -Special Edition 5 - PTSD Awareness month (4) - PTSD 8
So, yesterday was another anniversary in my long traumatic years. It was a day I landed on foreign soil, many many years ago. I was one more child who paid a heavy price after his parents divorced and couldn't agree as to the proper way to raise me.

I want to
discuss the notion of forgiveness and how it relates to trauma, especially in
my case.
I’ve heard
and read many people talking about the need to forgive in life. Religions and
spiritual leaders, as well as lay people, all talk about forgiving one another.
Now, I think that if someone finds inner peace in forgiving someone’s hurting
them in words or actions, this is positive.

You can replace 'great' by good, or positive or whatever such word : the goal is finding 100 different (even slightly from one another) or that brings you some joy and relief- including on difficult days, or just on normal ones (see, I'm not too demanding!)

99- Feminism (1)
I'm a feminist. There, I said the dirty F word that some men fear. They fear losing their power, their domination in the world.
But, that domination is wrong, just like it was wrong to own slaves, or any one of a myriad wrongs done on this planet.
There is a LOT to say about feminism, and why one should be a feminist.
So, what IS feminism? Put short, it's a wide spectrum of political and social movements and ideologies with the objective of defining, building and subsequently reaching the end goal of equal rights for women in all fields of life :
Personal, social, economic and political rights, equal to those of men.

97- Special Edition 5 - PTSD Awareness month (2) - PTSD 6 : evolution of dreams

As mentioned all the way back in post 63
(PTSD 3), part of the post-traumatic stress disorders reveals itself through 4
specific clusters.
Today, I'll concentrate on the aspect of
them : * re-living the event, through intrusive memories, nightmares or
flashbacks. I've talked about that, too, already: I have had many nightmares
and flashbacks, and until a few years ago also intrusive memories, until my
memory started to fail (a bit of a blessing, but I also forget important non
traumatic things and that's a problem).

My second CBT appointment today was very positive. I have 2 tasks to do. Next appointment on 24th - only 10 days !! I'm glad I finally found a good therapists who listens and gives me actual tasks beyond mere lists.

My heart goes out to all the victims of hatred around the world, including the 49 people who were killed at Pulse Nightclub in Florida.
My heart also goes to the 53 wounded.
My hearts is with all the families and friends of the victims.
Don't let this be just another statistical data. Don't let them die in vain.
Once again, we see the importance to stop gun violence, and that awareness must be raised and hearts opened to avoid so much hatred and total disregard to LIFE.
I really hope that these events will push everyone to elect someone who'll listen and work to end these cycles of violence in a country that really needs to heal and stop prejudices of all sorts.

Hello everyone,
Usually, I write on this blog to share my experiences or raise awareness in mental health issues.
I have also raised awareness on other topics since April, in regards to societal issues.
My topics shall be expanded, but in the meantime I'm taking a moment to tell you to be very careful online. As you may know, there are many trolls and bots over on all social medias. But, there are also scams of all sorts : special deals with huge discounts for your favorite brands or stores turn out as lies, or attempts to get your credit card numbers.

June is international awareness month for two topics: Posttraumatic stress, and the one I'm going to talk about here : LGBTQ+.
First, what do these acronyms stand for ?
LGBT means Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender. The Q usually stands as Queer, others see it as Questioning, and the + for etc, as in any non hetero, not cisgendered identity.
Here's a quick breakdown of the spectrum :
Yes, I'm going to talk about this topic, it is just as important as mental heath ones, and will actually tie it together to the main subject of my blog (well, the one that was the main until now.... it's meant to be expanded).
