It's pretty cool to be present in Twitch streams and get inspired into writing poems. That's how I participated in a challenge, changing it from song writing to poetry - you can read all 10 with the label 'EmmaMcGann'.
Yesterday, I was in Kelli, aka Kelaska's stream, and during a conversation about rhymes, song VS poem composition with or without them, someone asked what rhymed with 'sausage'.
We gave a few examples, and after a few moments, I composed the following - it became a slam poem, and metaphors of 'lower classes' VS the well-off, thus receiving the logical title (as my wife suggested) :
Eat the Rich!
We've had enough sitting in the backstage
it's time for us to walk ahead and engage
for the current situation requires a new page
for the poor people have been locked in a cage
and they need their lives scream out, in outrage
the rich have large appetites to assuage
born with silver spoons, privilieged by heritage
walking in golden palaces, receiving private tutelage
Spending their cash for a private space age!
The classes below living on the edge,
forever hoping for that radical change,
will they finally afford their mortage?
Inequality's about to blow, trust the pressure gauge
blue-collars are seing red, perhaps ready for a rampage?
The vein of economy ready to swage
All they ask for is a decent work's wage
Bloated rich pigs excel at aliange
they better leave this high stage
or their carriage may turn to sausage
