467 - A wonderful party - A poem

 


I got behind again, so I'm catching up with my poems, adapting from Emma Mcgann's song writing challenge.

Day 5 : Song of the seasons (e.g. autumn, christmas, halloween)

For this, I decided to write a fan-fic poem, and left a small hint as to which "wonderful party" I allude... 

a wonderful party


The celebration was grandiose

People danced, to one another close,

Voices raised in cheerful chanting

To the sounds of melodies captivating

For the unique and ultimate occasion

For never again would there be such recreation

Games were played,

Drinks and foods arrayed,

The setting decorated lavishly,

Gifts exchanged hands generously


For a double birthday it was,

Loud were the applause !

Thundering stamping feet

accompanying the beat

People's merriments resounded

From tent to tent, all 'round the pavilion

Followed by bright illuminations,

Old Grey Beard's magical creations !
